Melissa was previously the Business Development Manager with the Perth International Arts Festival and has worked in marketing and administration for Barking Gecko Theatre Company, the WA Fringe Festival, KULCHA Multicultural Arts of Western Australia and independent theatre through Steamworks Arts Productions.

Melissa holds a Master of Business Administration from UWA Business School, a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Professional Studies (honours). She currently sits on the WA Committee of Musica Viva.

She is a former Chair of Stages (WA Playwright Consortium) and a Board Member of FPWA Sexual Health Services and Ausdance. She currently sits on the WA Committee of Musica Viva.
