RTRFM 92.1 takes over the port city for the 3rd annual Fremantle Winter Music Festival and this time it’s bigger and better than ever. This year the festival will be held across two venues in downtown Fremantle: the Norfolk Basement and the Fly By Night Musicians Club.
In the main room of The Fly we have the swashbuckling country rock of the Kill Devil Hills, Perth pop stalwarts Red Jezebel, rock and roll legends Capital City, indie pop darlings The Autumn Isles, post and pre punk pop upstarts The Preytells and the leaders of the new progression Mink Mussel Creek.
The solo room at The Fly (aka the transit lounge) will feature the sweet loose gravel sound of Jeff Strong, the earthy goodness of Andrew Ewing, sensational songstress Felicity Groom, relentless and undeniable Andrew Ryan and the pop song ubermeister Josh Fontaine.
Down the road at The Norfolk Basement groove to the Black and Blue maestro Paul Gamblin, new rave killers from Pocket Disco honchos the Bourgoise Bogan DJs, deep weird dubs and beyond from the Bens Taaffe (Underground Solution) and Elliot (Black and Blue), house and garage from the old Deep City men James A and Ben M and a very special guest appearance from Perth’s first man of Drum n Bass Mr Greg Packer.
From 6pm – midnight at the Fly By Night Club on Parry St and from 7pm – midnight at the Norfolk Basement, Norfolk St, Fremantle come down and enjoy amazing night of eclectic beats and raw live sounds.
Presale tickets for subscribers are available at the RTRFM offices for $10. General Admission tix are available from Mills, 78s, Planet and RTR for $15.
