	<p>Some behind-the-scenes drama at the conclusion of last year’s community event almost saw it cancelled.</p>

	<p>But that was then and this is now – and it will return for the third year running.</p>

	<p>Around 80 000 people turned out for the festival last year, so we’re pretty keen to see what 2012 will produce.</p>

	<p>The organisation of the festival has been handed over to JumpClimb Music Management and Events, and Aaron Rutter and Paul Fletcher joined Ben to discuss the changes.</p>]]></description>

	<title>New System for Mental Health Justice</title>

	<description><![CDATA[	<p>Over 300 Mental Health Courts already exist around the world and are successful in diverting people with mental illness away from the justice system.</p>

	<p>Now, the State Government will establish a pilot Mental Health Court here &#8211; but the Greens say it will need to be expanded.</p>

	<p>Greens spokesperson for Mental Health, Alison Xamon has been fighting for the creation of a court for a long time, so she’s happy with this State Budget announcement.</p>

	<p>But, she says if the pilot is found to be successful, the Government will need to reverse laws such as mandatory sentencing.</p>

	<p>Police Minister Rob Johnson said the program was a success, but the number of property offences for the first four months of the year has increased by almost 2000 on last year’s figures.</p>

	<p>The fact that over 140 police officers were sent to Broome at the weekend to deal with protesters has raised serious questions about the government’s allocation of resources.</p>

	<p>This blowout will see extra costs pushed on to taxpayers who have already seen electricity prices rise 57 per cent since 2008.</p>

	<p>But even though it will cost the state 450 million dollars, 76000 homes now have solar panels installed on their roof, a step in the right direction towards a sustainable future.</p>

evidence that children with same-sex parents are different to those with heterosexual parents.</p>
