	<p>That band formed in Melbourne in the late 80’s and promptly released its debut album ‘Ruby’. It’s one of the albums Pete featured this week.</p>

	<p>It won the 1991 <span class="caps">ARIA</span> for Best Independent Release.</p>

	<p>Now it has something of a sequel called ‘Pearl’ – the other Brekky feature album.</p>

	<description><![CDATA[	<p>Meeting back in 2005 while recording the soundtrack for a French film, Olivia Merilahti and Dan Levy got together to form music act ‘The Do’.</p>

	<p>The part-French, part-Finnish folk-inspired indie-pop duo released their first album in 2008 which topped the French charts, making them the first English singing French act to do so.</p>

	<p>Full of rich orchestration and electronic flourishes, their new album is called ‘Both Ways Open Jaws’.</p>

	<description><![CDATA[	<p>Since the beginning of June, a group of artists all the way from Colorado have been working on a contemporary art project in our very own Denmark, in WA.</p>

	<p>The project they’ve been working on is a functional sculpture, made to house birds.</p>

	<p>The artists have also been busy getting involved in the community down there –finding out about local wildlife, the history of the area, and helping local high school students in the Ornitarium project.</p>

	<p>Folk legends such as Woddy Guthrie and Pete Seeger often acted as voices for the social, economic and environmental justice movements of their day.</p>

	<p>American folk singer and activist David Rovics has been continuing this tradition for the last twenty years and this Sunday he commences his third Australian tour with his debut appearance in Perth at The Irish Club in Subiaco with support from local favourites Sugar Child.</p>
