	<p>The part-French, part-Finnish folk-inspired indie-pop duo released their first album in 2008 which topped the French charts, making them the first English singing French act to do so.</p>

	<p>Full of rich orchestration and electronic flourishes, their new album is called ‘Both Ways Open Jaws’.</p>

	<p>American folk singer and activist David Rovics has been continuing this tradition for the last twenty years and this Sunday he commences his third Australian tour with his debut appearance in Perth at The Irish Club in Subiaco with support from local favourites Sugar Child.</p>

	<description><![CDATA[	<p>Originally hailing from New Zealand and now residing in Melbourne, Batrider took time out from their first Western Australian tour to come into <span class="caps">RTRFM</span>&#8217;s <em>Saturday Arvo Live</em> with Gemma Pike and bust out some accoustic music.</p>

	<p>Batrider are not usually known for this softer sider, generally inhabiting the noisier end of the indie spectrum, but on this tour they played two acoustic shows.</p>

	<p>Hopefully they will be back in Perth at some stage, however the strong rumour is that they will soon be settling in the UK.</p>

	<p>Apparently, they are spending a little bit of extra time here too because the grandparents of bass player Ted live in our fair city.</p>

	<p>And Ted brought Adam, Carl, Eric, and Sarah (touring in place of the ill Bebban) in to our home of local live performances &#8211; the <em>Saturday Arvo Live</em> program, as hosted by Sarah Tout, and Adam and Carl chatted about their touring before the whole band gave us a live rendition of <em>Tonight I Have To Leave It</em>.</p>]]></description>
