Fresh Blast

The RTRFM Fresh Blast project, supported by Healthway and the Road Safety Council, sponsors CD launches for Western Australian bands or solo performers who are willing to stage their launch in a smoke-free environment and promote the “ReThink Drink” and “Don’t Drink and Drive” messages.

RTRFM’s Fresh Blast project provides over $2,000 worth of sponsorship towards your CD launch, including:

  • A radio promotion package (consisting of 30 Sponsorship Announcements) to help promote the CD launch.
  • A half-page advertisement in X-Press Magazine
  • Up to $250 for any costs associated with the gig, e.g. venue hire, P.A. Hire, payment to support bands, printing of posters and flyers, decorations, sound and lighting crew, etc.
  • A radio promotion package (consisting of 20 Sponsorship Announcements) to help promote the CD after the launch. The Sponsorship Announcements won’t promote a gig but the actual CD and encourage people to buy it. This promotion will start shortly after the CD launch.

RTRFM’s Fresh Blast is decided monthly and the deadline is the first Friday of the month before you want to launch (eg. the first deadline for funding applications for a July launch is Friday June 6).

To apply for Fresh Blast funding complete the Fresh Blast application form (download from below), include a copy of your CD (if RTRFM hasn’t got one) and post to:
