How did you become involved?

I was invited to come and present a mix every 2nd Thursday on Full Freq with Chase way back in the 90s…
This was pre-BBQ-turntables in the studio at RTR – and we just played house music. I think the reason I was asked was because I owned a pair of turntables we could use. I’ve been hanging around in some capacity ever since – a few stints on Full Frequency and also on Black & Blue.

How long have you been with RTRFM?

How long has RTR been with me? Always. When I discovered RTR, I used to tape my favourite shows religiously back in high school. Meeting the people behind those shows in the following years and calling some of them friends was a surreal and cool experience.
When you go somewhere else, you realize how good RTR is… Perth’s really lucky.

What do you enjoy most about presenting?

Getting to spend a couple of hours each week presenting the music that you’re into to an audience is a real privilege. I’m really grateful to be part of it.
I also enjoy the preparation during the week before a show. Sifting through music, listening, trying to find the best stuff to play.
Connecting with people through music is the best though. Always!

Currently: Woodstock Rock, Underground Solution, Riley’s Full Frequency shows.
All-time: Strictly Rhythm with Ben Stinga, Gettin’ Hectic.

What do you do in real life?

Order music and manage chaos at Planet.
Create musical events and happenings with the {move} family.
Play music and spread good vibes to people on dancefloors wherever I can.
Try fit study in between.
