How did you become involved with the station and your program?
During the late eighties there was a wild program called Woodstock Rock. This was when RTR fm was not the sound alternative but 6UVS fm, so we are talking ancient history here.
Impressed with the freaky 60’s music I was a regular caller to the presenters. One in particular was a cool dude with a Yank accent (actually I later found out, Canadian).

Things moved on and I lost track of the program, but in 2001 a friend said I should listen to a great program on RTR. Tuning in I recognised not only the program but the same cool guy presenting. It was the legendary ‘Cool Bill”. One thing led to another and I was invited into the studio. As luck would have it a spot on the roster came up and many years later I am part of the prestigious group of Woodstock Rock presenters.

How long have you been with RTRFM?
It seems that ‘Things May Come And Things May Go, But The Art School Dance Goes On Forever’, but realistically since 2003.

Favourite RTRFM program/s?
Woodstock Rock , Pete in the mornings and Out to Lunch – with Dave on Thursdays and Gemma on Fridays.

Strangest experience at RTRFM?
I was at a record fair, probably rabbiting on as usual, when a perfect stranger walked up and said “you’re Boots from Woodstock Rock”. Amazed that my cover was blown, I asked how he knew. He looked at me sagely and said “it was your voice, very distinctive”. The power of radio and our discerning listeners!
