The man known simply as JR is an English ex-pat, a baby boomer, and a mild eccentric – with a humorous twist – who boasts twin passions – weather and music. These were both born at school, but only encouraged and nurtured by the kindness and opportunity offered by like-minded souls in the Bureau of Meteorology and RTRFM 92.1 in Australia.

Isaac Newton’s acknowledgement to the contribution of ‘giants’ preceding him (and, as JR says, in his case accompanying him) is endorsed with gratitude.

His favourite weather? Anomalous. Favourite music? Naturally the ’60s, but a wide reaching taste in many different spheres, all of them classics if enjoyed.

Curiosity and enthusiasm are absolutely essential to creativity in JR’s humble opinion, and he hopes never to lose them, nor lose communication with an appreciative audience. If you are one of them, thank you.
