How did you become involved?

I became an avid fan of Rock Rattle and Roll, and RTRFM in general, when it was presented by Bob Hope Hume. I would call him up and say nice things about the music. I met him one day and we became friends, he later asked if I would like to come in and do a guest spot on the show, needless to say I jumped at the chance. Around 1994 Bob was relocating to the UK and asked if I would like to do the show full time and I haven’t looked back since.

How long have you been with RTRFM?

About 14 years now but I have been slack and never kept track of the years as they flew by.

What do you enjoy most about presenting?

I really enjoy being able to play the music I am passionate about every week, and having listeners call to say they really enjoy the show is the ultimate pay-off I think.

Strangest experience at RTRFM?

Either meeting Mark Genge in person for the first time or the Radiothon shows.

Favourite RTRFM program?

Oh I gotta hand it to the roots shows, Spoonful, Soulsides, Big Star, Saturday Jazz, El Ritmo, and I enjoy waking up to Breakfast with Barr .

What do you do in real life?

I’m a Photofinish Operator and Video Camera person and I play drums in a local band as well as DJing about the place too.
