Ross Westle AKA The Good Uncle
The first LP I purchased with my own money was The Clash Combat Rock. I spent my teens being influenced by my peers, on returning from Adelaide at 17 I discovered my peers thought The Smiths were rubbish so I traded titles for punk rock, big mistake. I never let the anothers vademecum of music influence me again. I own well over 100 Christmas titles and around 100 Hawiian titles. I have everything by the Ramones, Motorhead and Morrissey. But, at around 12000 titles in my home there is so much more and many more purchased every week.

Q & A
How did you become involved in RTRFM?
I’ve listened to RTRFM since my youth, becoming involved took a lot of nerve as I was not at all certain what was expected of a radio presenter, how do they sound so bright? How do they sound familiar each time you hear them? I really wanted to know so I applied and got on board.
How long have you been with RTRFM?
15-7-09 Somebody told me to open a word document to log how many hours I do, now after 3 hours or more every week for two and a half years I wish I had.
What do you enjoy most about presenting?
I believe I am amoured with the romance of graveyard shift radio, you receive very little feedback from whoever may have their radio on at 3am in the middle of the week. But, then with the technology the station has I’m also broadcasting into the middle of a sunny day on the other side of the earth.
What has been the strangest experience at RTRFM?
Seeing a nude man in the halls
Favourite RTRFM programs?
Soulsides, Out To Lunch, Bass Check.
What do you do in real life?
I do what a bloke has to do in order to get more records.
