Q & A

When did you first become involved with RTRFM?
I’ve listen to RTRFM for decades, and have visited the station many times over the years, often escorting visiting filmmakers for interviews. In 2009 I was appointed General Manager of RTRFM and seized the opportunity to learn how to present.

What do you do in real life?
In real life I’m the Editor of OUT in Perth, WA’s gay and lesbian news paper. I also transgress into the worlds of film, television and theatre as a Producer and Writer.

What kind of music are you into?
I love so many different kinds of music and each show I find it real challenge to narrow it down to the25 or 30 tracks you can play within two hours. Guaranteed you’ll hear some indie rock, folk, dance, electronic, ambient and more anytime I present. Always something old and something new.

What’s the first song you ever played on RTRFM?
I played a track called ‘Finally Found a Reason’ from Art Garfunkel’s 1976 album ‘Fate For Breakfast’, it’s the first LP I ever owned, I won it in a competition on the local radio station! At six years of age I wasn’t too into Garfunkel, but it grew on me.
