How did you become involved?

I just wanted some practical broadcasting experience while I was studying my university degree. I knew of RTR through a broadcasting unit I did in my first year and I thought since the station is so close to the university campus and I liked the image and ethics of the station. I’d let RTR know of my intentions too announce on the station. I strongly believe that alternative music is the best music in the world and I’m sure RTR shares the same point of view.

What do you enjoy most about presenting?

Playing the music I love, talking about it, and giving it exposure to potentially millions of people. Also the freedom of being able to be in charge of my own program. As in essence I’m producing and hosting at the same time.

Strangest experience at RTRFM?

Co hosting a jazz themed playlist and not knowing much about the music at all that felt pretty strange. That was also the first time I was on air on RTR.

Favourite RTRFM programs?

Burn the Airwaves and Critical Mass.

What do you do in real life?

I study a Bachelor of Communications degree at Edith Cowan University majoring in Broadcasting and journalism. While university is on all that matters is the degree and any radio shows that I present.
