How did you become involved (with the station and your program/s)?

I was listening to Nostalgia one morning, when there was a call out for new presenters for the show, I telephoned the station, and was a guest on Richard Leslie’s show presenting some of my favourite recordings, and he and Reg Brearley were gracious enough to train me on air.

How long have you been with RTRFM?

I have been on air for about a year as of May 2011, but really only flying “Solo” in the last few months, I want to thank the Nostalgia team, and RTR FM for the opportunity to do this.

What do you enjoy most about presenting?

I love the research, discovering artists who were truly talented but never got to be really ‘Big’ Names, and introducing them to the Nostalgia listener, and hoping they enjoy them too!

Strangest experience at RTRFM?

Very early on when Richard was training me up, on air , the Winamp kicked in, and we were broadcasting “Punk” to nostalgia listeners at 6.05 am, we had to get the Station Manager out of bed on a wintery Sunday morning to talk us through switching it off!

Favourite RTRFM program/s?

Nostalgia, of course, Saturday Jazz, Breakfast with Barr, I used to enjoy ‘Ethos’ but that was over twenty five years ago, fond memories of Wanda Honywell and 6UVSFM as it was then.
