Low

Saturday October 23

The Bakery Northbridge

life is noise, Feel and RTRFM present LOW.

“I’ve been a fan of Low for a long time. That whole spook element. Monkey is such a great song – I don’t think I could write anything half as good as that“ – Robert Plant.

Low bring their mesmerizingly brilliant and critically-acclaimed brand of indie rock to the newly-refurbished Bakery on Saturday, October 23.

Formed in 1993 in Duluth, Minnesota, Low are famed for their stark and unique sound (often referred to as slowcore) that recalls the drama of Joy Division, the intensity of Big Black and the harmony of a church choir.

Drums and Guns, the band’s latest album, features minimalist drum loops working alongside subtle melody to lay the foundations for chilling vocal harmonies that are, as always, the heart of Low’s sound.

Performing material from across their entire catalogue, Low’s live show wraps the audience in a web of breathtaking sonic intensity and magnetic songsmithery.

With local support from Schvendes and Erasers, this promises to be an unmissable night of spine-tingling harmonies and starkly beautiful soundscapes.

Tickets are $44 + bf from 78 Records, Mills Records, Planet Video and the new Bakery ticketing website as of Wednesday, August 18.
