The Sea Shepherd Conservation society will be heading out aboard The Steve Irwin soon on their annual trip to stop whale hunting in the southern ocean.
We know they’ll be acting as a bodyguard to the whales out there – but what about their vessel which will carry them to their showdown with the Japanese whaling ships.
What’s it like on board? Who makes up the crew? Do they swig rum and sing sea shanties while riding the seven seas?
Our man in the field David Ferrier caught up with first mate LOKI on board – and asked him where they were starting their tour.
