It’s National Homeless Persons’ Week starting today.

The Community Housing Coalition of WA is the state peak body representing community housing.

They believe – as we do here at RTR FM – that affordable, secure and appropriate housing is not a privilege, but a right.

And, they aim to ensure this is understood by politicians, government departments, business people, community housing providers and everyone in the community.

Executive Officer of the Community Housing Coalition of WA Colin McClughan has spent several years working in the private sector with roles in business development and general management.

His work as a carer for elderly men and brain injured young men afforded him great insight and appreciation of the community sector.

Realising he could further contribute in a more senior role, he’s in high gear this week as the Community Housing Coalition hosts the WA part of National Homeless Week and Colin McClughan joined Damian Smith on Morning Magazine.
