Earlier this week, Damian Smith spoke to Amy Johns from the Butcher Shop – A store that sells aerosols, markers and blank canvases for people to practice graffiti art.
This came after tougher laws were passed through the lower house of state parliament, doubling penalties to those caught spraying or drawing graffiti and to those who supply it to minors.
The government also hopes to introduce laws that will not only restrict the selling of graffiti tools but also make it illegal for stores to sell them.
But will further restricting the selling of graffiti implements reduce the amount of vandalism?
Paul Ledingham spoke to the Head of the Graffiti Task Force Michael Sutherland to explore the other side of the story.
