Dr Jane Goodall first started observing the behaviour of Chimpanzee’s in the jungles of Gombe Game Reserve in Africa in 1960.

She founded the Jane Goodall Institute for Wildlife Research, Education and Conservation to provide ongoing support for field research on wild chimpanzees in 1977.

Dr Goodall arrived in Perth on September 30 on the first leg of her Australian and New Zealand ‘Hope for Nature’ tour.

The tour aims to raise funds for the Jane Goodall Institute and to highlight the effects of climate change on the planet’s diversity and what we can do to make a difference.

Dr Goodall shared her experiences and wisdom with Shannon Fox on Morning Magazine.
