If you have watched ‘The United States of Tara’ you may have tried to work out who composed and performed the incredibly catchy theme tune.

It comes from Texan musician Tim DeLaughter, the front man for the Polyphonic Spree – it has the same optimistic vibe and bouncy buoyancy you’ve heard before in so many of that band’s songs.

The big band from Texas has been filling the world with weird and wonderful symphonic rock since the year 2000, and finally heads our way next month.

Tim DeLaughter stands out front of the sun-loving psychedelic pop purveyors, and Peter Barr spoke to him on Breakfast.
