Mudhoney have just released their eighth record after 20 years together. The Lucky Ones is an incredibly lean record from the band that had an enormous influence on Nirvana. After signing to Sub-Pop in the late ’80s, they switched to a major label before making the move back to Sub-Pop in 2002. Mark Arm, in addition to fronting Mudhoney, also works in the Sub-Pop warehouse, and it’s after a hard day’s work there that Jack Midalia caught up with him, and began by asking him whether the band had a different approach to the making of this album.
