Last night the State Government’s graffiti legislation passed through the upper house.

The amendment means retailers caught selling graffiti increments to anyone under the age of 18 could face a fine of up to $12 000. Spray cans and even thick markers have made the banned list.

Retailers are angry over the legislation. Amy Johns runs the Butcher Shop which sells many of the items now restricted. She joined Merri this morning to tell her side of the story.
