While most of us were tucked into our beds the night before last, a Japanese spacecraft made its way through the Earth’s atmosphere and crash landed in the South Australian outback.

The capsule – sent to collect samples from a near-Earth asteroid – has been in outer space for the last seven years.

RTRFM’s Commander Kat joins was on the line to give us the latest on the capsule that travelled six billion kilometres only to end up crash landing in the middle of nowhere.
