Guy Blackman live on Breakfast
- Show
- Breakfast with Barr,
- Presenter
- Peter Barr
- Published
- Wednesday 17th October
If you’ve listened to RTRFM for a while, you’ll have heard the name Guy Blackman before. He was a Drivetime presenter and coordinator in the 6UVS days, from around 1990.
Before he moved to Melbourne in 1995, he appeared in various local bands, including Sulk and Sleepy Township, and played all manner of gigs as well as being a stalwart of the station. He transferred his community radio loyalty to RRR over east and he also pays his way with some music journalism, not least of all for The Age newspaper.
But, he was recently back in his hometown of Perth and Peter Barr nabbed him for an appearance on his radio birthplace. He graced us with his guitar and an acoustic version of a tune from his more recent solo career that usually embraces a piano accompaniment, World of Bees.
