Disclaimer: I hate Andre Rieu more than anyone in the world.

Maybe it’s his smug smile and his toothy grin, or perhaps I’m just jealous of the fact that he’s probably a squillianaire (he has shifted over one million units, according to the press release) and could get any woman (over 50) he wants. Every time I go to the post office I have to put up with his haughty visage taunting me and, if that wasn’t enough, I now have to put up with his image appearing on 20 foot billboards advertising his upcoming tour.

Honestly, this musical Fabio represents all that is mediocre and hypocritical about baby boomers. This is a generation that once thought music could change the world, and now listens to an overly-chinned ham butcher “I Still Call Australia Home”, “Tie Me Kangaroo Down” and “Home Among The Gumtrees”.

I hate Andre Rieu so much that I’m not going to listen to this CD.
